Don Lancaster, a member of the Kwakwaka’wakw Nation, is a well-known Northwest Coast jewelry artist who was born into a family of skilled gold and silver carvers in Alert Bay in 1965. He carries on his family's legacy by incorporating the crests of the Sun, Sisiutl, and Wolf into his designs. Having studied under renowned carver Norman Seaweed, Lancaster has been creating stunning jewelry since 1981 and has been featured in the Wickaninnish Gallery for over 20 years.
