Valencia Bird Yellow Cedar Salmon Plaque

 Valencia Bird's background is rooted in the CREE culture. She was born on September 20, 1973 in Fort McLeod, AB and is a member of the Saddle Lake First Nation, located northeast of Edmonton in St. Paul, Alberta. As a mother of four, she is passing down her knowledge and skill of stone carving to her daughters. Her signature style beautifully balances her carvings in a way that captures the essence of dance. The material used is Yellow Cedar, hand carved and painted with Acrylic. Dimensions are Length 19.1/2" and Width 5.1/2".
